The owner of three long time Boone based business passed away on Thursday morning. James Watson, the owner & operator of the former Watson's Garage Auto Dealership, passed away at The Foley Center at Chestnut Ridge in Blowing Rock, according to Hampton Funeral Service. Watson was also a co-owner of Toyota of Boone and Boone Kubota. He was also the first Fire Chief of the Deep Gap Fire Department. He was 89 years old.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday afternoon, January 15, 2017 at 2pm at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel.
