…Light freezing rain and sleet at times through early evening…
A period of mainly light rain will occur through early this
evening across the North Carolina High Country and foothills into
the Grayson Highlands. A few areas are close to or just below
freezing, especially along the Blue Ridge. Some light icing is
possible on elevated surfaces. Temperatures are expected to slowly
rise above freezing toward midnight.
Those traveling or walking need to be alert this evening for
patchy slick spots.
