Weather permitting, flagging/ lane closures are scheduled through noon today on 321 in Blowing Rock at Sunset Dr. Flagging operations are also scheduled from Norwood Circle and Skyland View Dr from this morning through this evening. Flagging operations at various locations throughout the project from Rock Rd to Tanger Outlets may be active today in preparation for the traffic switch anticipated this week.
Tuesday July 28
Multiple flagging operations/lane closures are scheduled today on 321 in Blowing Rock from Rock Rd to Tanger Outlets in order to switch all traffic to the future northbound lanes. Today's construction schedule is VERY dependent upon weather conditions, specifically dry pavement conditions. Wet pavement conditions resulting from rain and/or heavy fog could delay today's traffic switch. Watch for construction crews and equipment entering and exiting the various work zones in this area.

Wednesday July 29
Flagging operations/lane closures are scheduled today on 321 in Blowing Rock at Cliff Dwellers Inn. Watch for construction crews and equipment entering and exiting the various work zones in this area.
4:30pm – Expect delays on 421/Boone Mountain in Vilas due to accident. Fire and EMS are on the scene.
5:14pm – Cove Creek Fire Department has cleared the scene of the wreck on 421/Boone Mountain.
Thursday July 30
Weather permitting, flagging on 321 in Blowing Rock at Rock Rd near Green Park Inn. SLOW DOWN, STAY ALERT & EXPECT DELAYS!
Friday July 31
Watch for flaggers on 321 in Blowing Rock at Rock Rd. near Green Park Inn, and from US221/321 Business to Tanger Outlets.
5pm – Accident US HWY 421 S at or near Food Lion light. Expect delays.
5pm – Tractor Trailer broken down US HWY 321 S past green Park Inn. Expect possible delays.
5:25pm – accident on Hidden Valley Shadows drive. Expect possible delays.
5:36pm – accident on Blowing Rock Road at Piedmont Federal. Expect possible delays.
