Monday January 26, 2015

6:30am – no reported travel issues.

No traffic impacts, limited construction ops on 321 in Blowing Rock today due to weather. Call 828-964-3260 for project information.

3:49pm – No reported travel issues at this time. Only possible problem areas would be in the far western end of the county where snow accumulated (as witness in the picture above) today.

5pm – Only reported problems via scanner and incoming social media reports are snow covered gravel roads in the southern and western ends of the county.

Tuesday January 27

5:30am – some snow covered roads are possible after snow last night and overnight, but no reported major travel issues at this time.

11:48am – Main roads are clear, and have been for much of the morning. Snow may still be likely on some gravel roads and possibly on some sections of secondary roads per incoming reports throughout the morning.

Wednesday January 28

Thursday January 29

Possible flagging ops on 321 and US 321 Bus near Chetola in Blowing Rock today. Call 828-964-3260 for project information.

5:15pm – reported wreck on 105 near the old WHS entrance. Use caution in that area.

Friday January 30

6am – Icy conditions have lead schools to close for the day. Be advised of slick spots throughout the county.

7am – Per incoming reports main roads are in good shape, side roads have patchy slick spots.
