Halloween/Nov 1 Weekend Snow Storm Recap

The first snowfall of the 2014-15 winter season brought upwards of 7 inches of snow to parts of Watauga County and left many in the dark.

Blue Ridge Electric said nearly 2,000 outages occurred over the weekend, and all outages were fully restored just after 12 noon on Sunday.

Watauga Medical Center recorded a peak wind gust of 38mph on Saturday and 40 on Sunday, with a high of only 35 on Saturday.
