Former Watauga High School Principal Marshall Gasperson Passes

A former Watauga High School Principal passed away this week.

Jerry “Marshall” Gasperson II, age 52, of Deep Gap, NC, passed away from natural causes, on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 while residing at Carolina Beach, NC, according to Wilmington Funeral & Cremation.

The obituary notes, “His greatest accomplishment was being  principal of Watauga High School where he was actively engaged in the building of the new high school, enhancing the CTE program, and the development of the ROTC program.”
