A short blast of winter air will enter the High Country on Wednesday, dropping high temperatures from the 60s down to the 40s.

Along with the falling temperatures comes rain, as precipitation chances rise to 50% for Tuesday night and into Wednesday. Though not expected to amount to much, if any, there is a chance of snow at elevations above 3500 feet, according to the National Weather Service. The other weather story through the period will be wind, as gusts are forecast up to 45 mph. High temperatures are forecast to rebound into the 50s for Thursday and Veterans Day (Friday), before dropping back into the 40s on Saturday.
