UPDATE 6:04pm – The Code Red Warning has now been cancelled on Meat Camp Road according to the Sheriff's office.
Residents in the Meat Camp area have been issued a code red reverse 911 announcement by the Watauga County Sheriff's office, according to the Watauga Democrat.
The alert is advising residents to stay inside their homes and lock all doors and windows, after a situation involving law enforcement on Meat Camp Road and near Hopewell Church Road and highway 194.
Meat Camp Road was closed just before 3pm on Wednesday but was reopen, according to scanner dispatches, just after 4:30pm.
