Chilly Weekend Drops Temps Into The 20s & 30s, Freeze Watches And Warnings Issued

It was a stark reminder that winter is fast approaching, as temperatures fell over the weekend bottoming out into the 20s. Even starting late last week temps started the drop. The National Weather Service issued Freeze Watches and Warnings beginning on Saturday night. On Monday morning the Weather Service noted that, “After freezing temperatures throughout the forecast area this weekend the growing season is officially over. No further frost or freeze products will be issued until the Spring.”

Saturday Oct 17 – 34

Sunday Oct 18 – 32

Monday Oct 19 – 24

The last time Boone recorded 24 degrees or colder was April 5 & 6 with 21 degrees.
