The Boone Police Department has filed more charges against a man arrested earlier this year for crimes related to a minor.

Michael Justin Hagaman, 39 years-of-age of Howard’s Creek Road, was arrested on June 6th, 2018 after an investigation by Boone Police Department, Watauga County Sheriff’s Office and State Bureau of Investigation for the Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography. At the time, Hagaman’s court date was set for July 30 and his conditions of release were set as a total secured bond amount of $200,000.

After the initial arrest an investigation into Hagaman’s sexual exploitation of minors continued, according to Boone Police. That investigation has led to Hagaman being charged with two counts of 1st Degree Sex Offense with a Child on July 12th, 2018.

Hagaman was arrested at the Watauga County Detention Center and then taken before a Watauga County Magistrate.  Hagaman was assigned a court date of July 31st, 2018 and placed under a $900,000 secured bond.
