Officers with the Boone Police Department were lead on a chase that eventually ended in Valle Crucis on Sunday afternoon shortly after 4pm.

The chase began when a vehicle traveling 105 leaving Boone was observed driving in a careless and reckless manner at an accident scene on 105 at Ingles, Sergeant Shane Robbins tells WataugaOnline.com. Officers were working the accident scene when the vehicle came through the center lane failing to slow down or stop.

The vehicle finally came to a stop in a driveway on Watauga River Road, where arrests were made. There were three people in the vehicle, according to scanner dispatches at the time.

Officers with the Watauga County Sheriff's Department also joined in on the pursuit.
