Boone Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

On Tuesday July 18th, 2017, the Boone Police Department and the State Bureau of Investigation concluded an investigation of a Boone man for the Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography.  The Boone Police Department and North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are members of the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, which is continually engaged in proactive and reactive investigations and prosecutions of persons involved in child abuse and exploitation of children involving the internet.

As a result of this investigation, Nicholas Daniel Hogue, 24 years of age, was arrested and charged with the following crimes.

• Three counts of 3rd Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor

• One count of 2nd Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor

Hogue’s court date was set for August 28th, 2017, and his conditions of release were set as a $75,000 secured bond.
