The Boone License Plate Agency office, located at 331 Queen St. behind the Watauga County Administration Building, will be closed Monday, Oct. 23, while it moves to a new location. The office will re-open on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 274 Winklers Creek Road.
A Grand Re-Opening will take place on Friday from 12pm-2pm.
The Boone office hours will continue to be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Customers may call the office at (828) 268-2315 to confirm appointments and operating hours.
DMV now offers license plate registration renewals and many other services online. Customers are encouraged to check the official DMV website at www.MyNCDMV.gov and click “Online Services” to see if their registration needs can be met online.
