Appalachian State University will test its AppState Alert siren system Wednesday, July 11, at 11:55 a.m. Tests of the siren system are normally conducted on the first Wednesday of the month, but the July test was moved because of the July 4 holiday.
The tone used for the monthly tests is not the same tone used for an actual emergency. Visit http://epo.appstate.edu/siren-warning-system to hear the alert tones.
