One of the annual signs that summer is coming to an end begins this week, as Appalachian State on campus students start moving in.

For the last several years more than 3,000 freshman have descended on campus to move into residence halls during move-in weekend, which officially begins Friday August 12. Returning students will move into their assigned rooms on Saturday August 13, 2016

Motorist around Boone are highly urged to allow PLENTY of extra travel time starting Friday. Also with the construction of the new intersection taking place near the Post Office, motorist traveling southbound are urged to find a different travel route if possible to avoid major traffic congestion in that area.

The first day of class for ASU is Tuesday August 16.
