Air Quality Issues Will Linger For Watauga On Friday November 25, 2016

Last Updated on November 24, 2016 8:03 pm

Ongoing lingering smoke from the Horton Fire, and fires in Burke County, will continue to hamper the air quality for Watauga County on Friday.

Light winds have helped reduce the amount of smoke, but Code Orange and Code Red particle pollution will be possible in the Mountains and foothills, according to the North Carolina Air Quality Forecast Center. Air quality alerts, of varying degrees, have been posted for Watauga for nearly two weeks.
