A BEARY SCARY HALLOWEEN at Grandfather Mountain

11:00 am – 03:30 pm
Join us for a full day of nature programs about animals considered creepy and crawly!

This fun-filled day includes an opportunity to create animal enrichments, trick-or-treating through the animal habitats and a costume contest. Plus, children in costume are admitted at half-price.

 

Halloween Festival in Blowing Rock:

2:00 p.m. Matinee Showing of a Movie (TBA) at Blowing Rock Elementary School Gym

3-5:30 p.m. Games and Funhouse for Kids 3-8 p.m. Airwalks in Memorial Park

4-8 p.m. Hayrides Through Blowing Rock 5:30 p.m. Monster March (Line-up at American Legion)

6:00 p.m. Trick-or-Treat Downtown and Trunk-or-Treat at Blowing Rock First Baptist

7:00 p.m. Costume Contest (Sign up by 6:45 at the Rec Center) After Costume Contest Moonlight Scavenger Hunt at Broyhill Park (Ages 6-13. Bring a Flashlight)

9:00 p.m. Evening Showing of the Movie at Blowing Rock Elementary School Gym

Willowdale Baptist Church in Vilas is having a “Trunks Full of Treats” event from 6pm – 8pm. Games, hot chocolate, apple cider, popcorn and lots of candy.

Boone Boo! 

A magic show by Twist the Balloon Man from 3:15 – 3:45 PM at the Watauga County Library

A spooky and silly haunted house tour of the Jones House from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.

Arts & Crafts at the Watauga County Library from 4:00 – 6:00 PM

Trick-or-Treating with downtown merchants from 5:00 – 6:00 PM

Trick or Treat at Boone Mall

5pm- 7pm
