17 Year Old Charged In Double Homicide

A 17-year-old has been charged in the double homicide on Orchard Road on Wednesday night.

Watauga County Sheriff Len Hagaman says that Tristan Noah Borlase was arrested in Johnson County Tennessee and charged with the murder of both victims.

 Borlase is the biological son of the victims, Jeffrey David Borlase, age 43, and Tanya Mae Borlase, age 44.  

On Wednesday, April 10th, 2019, at 10:32PM, the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1174 Orchard Road in Deep Gap in reference to a suspicious incident. While officers were on scene, deputies discovered the bodies. 

The incident was determined to be a double homicide and domestic in nature.

The investigation is continuing, according to the Sheriff.
